Pastor ROGER & jACQUE vANDERWERKEN, Interim Pastor
We feel very blessed to have Pastor Roger VanDerWerken serving us as our Interim Pastor. Before serving in ministry, Roger served our country as a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. Since then he has served Christ's church for many years as an Associate Pastor, a Senior Pastor and most recently as a Pastor of Discipleship. During this time, Roger also served as a Chaplain in the United States Navy from 1998-2013.
He received his Bachelors degree from the United States Naval Academy in 1979. After serving 4 years in the Navy, he went to seminary and received his Masters of Divinity in 1998 from Westminster Theological Seminary. In 2005 he received his Masters of Theology from Jesuit School of Theology at Berkeley.
Tamara (Tammy) Lehman
Tammy and her husband Casey grew up in San Diego. They have four beautiful children and two grandsons. She serves our church as Church Clerk, Administrative Assistant, and sings in the choir.

J.D. Johnson, Youth Director
JD Johnson is a former U.S. Marine with deep roots in Carlton Hills, a heart for youth, and a passion for Jesus. JD, is leading this ministry into the twenty first century with a youth worship ministry, bi-weekly activities, service projects. We have some exciting times ahead of us here at Carlton Hills Youth.
Sandee Rossman, Worship Director
Sandee started attending Carlton Hills Church as a preschooler with her family and has been here ever since. She met and married her husband Bill at Carlton Hills, and now both are happy to be raising their two beautiful daughters in the same church family. Sandee followed in the footsteps of her dad as the worship leader, and has been volunteering in that position for the last 10 years. She also enjoys her job as an elementary school teacher.
Janet Brent, Nursery Director & PreSchool Sunday School Teacher
Janet serves faithfully in our nursery, caring for our littlest ones and helping them to understand the love of Christ from the earliest ages.
