Waiting on God's Timing - Abraham and Sarah || Genesis 17:19, 18:1-15, 21:1-7

Waiting on God's Timing - Abraham and Sarah  || Genesis 17:19, 18:1-15, 21:1-7

Waiting for God to fulfill His promises can be hard. This is especially true because we sometimes confuse God's promises with our desires and God's timing with our own. This week in Children's Church, kids 3rd Grade and under will hear a story about Abraham and Sarah. God told them He would bless them with a child. They had to wait quite a long time for God to do as He said He would. But they were faithful and remembered how faithful God had always been to them.

Children 3rd Grade and under join the adults for the first part of the Worship Service and are dismissed for Children's Church just prior to the sermon.

Often, the pains brought on by the trials of the world can be nearly unbearable. In fact, there are times when we might question whether there really is any point to it all. However, for God's people, we have the assurance that God is faithful to His covenant with us. As such, He will use these struggles to bring what is precious out of what was worthless.

Faithful // Malachi 2:10-17

God's great mercy was not something we could have ever earned. In fact, all that we had earned was judgement and a righteous sentence. Yet, our obedience to His covenant meant our unwarranted redemption. On the other hand, rejection of God's covenant of life and peace results in experiencing corruption and death.
